About Me

My Journey
I have always been interested in health and fitness, but over the last few years it has become a true passion. At school I loved sports, I played for my school football team, took swimming, ballet, and dance lessons and absolutely loved them. As I moved into my final years of school and my academic workload got heavier, I drifted away from sport and became quite unhappy with the way I felt and looked. I didn’t have the best relationship with food, and I felt confused with everything changing for me, mentally and physically. If only I knew back then how many people feel the same negativity about themselves!
I decided to use the fitness facilities at my school and gradually I got into a good routine. When I moved to Edinburgh to study Business and Marketing at university, my love and enthusiasm for strength training only grew. After graduating, I knew I wanted to progress my knowledge in the fitness industry and become a personal trainer. I haven’t looked back. I am truly grateful to be in a position to help others to develop a positive relationship with their fitness, and guide them along their journey.

My Fitness Philosophy
My core belief with fitness is that it is different and unique to us all. Fitness is not “one size fits all”, not even in the slightest. Yes, you might have the same general objectives as someone else in the gym, but your approach to your goal, your mentality, priorities and lifestyle make you different to other people with similar aims. This is why I value coaching so much. Coaching is a client-central service, which in my opinion is the beauty of it. It’s the continued conversations that are engaged in, the guidance that is used and the behavior changes that are created. Another focus I prioritise on is finding balance. Again, your own concept of balance will look different to someone else’s. What’s important is figuring out what works for you.
